MIKE BROWN ROUTE DESIGNER AND TOUR LEADER
TONY CORKE ASSISTANT TOUR LEADER AND DRIVER
Tony and Mike have been friends, colleagues and riding buddies for a decade since a chance encounter in the right place at the right time brought them together. Tony began riding in the Mendip Hills UK on early mountain bikes developing handling skills which have been invaluable! He has ridden many miles in the USA and Europe and likes to race when he gets the chance. Tony is a master bike fitter and travels internationally teaching and demonstrating bike fitting skills as Torke Cycling. His easy nature and passion for the cycling life make for a great tour support.
GWEN BROWN DRIVER
GILLIAN CORKE ACCOMMODATION COORDINATOR AND ADMINISTRATOR
A musician and swimmer who some how found herself immersed in the world of cycling, Gillian brings a variety of useful skills to the team. Languages - French and German, event organisation and communications have been a passion since childhood and have lead her on many exciting paths, including this one! She grew up in the North East of England and her first trip to Europe was on a bus from Newcastle UK to Hamburg, Germany. "I still remember loving the endurance aspect of it! Sitting with my head on the window, gazing out into the night as the road flashed past my 10 year old eyes." Gillian is wife to Tony, a mom of 3 and the behind the scenes at Torke Cycling.
GLENN AND NANCY ERICKSON FOUNDERS
Glenn's extensive knowledge of the spectacular routes in France attest to his affinity and love for the country, her people and great natural beauty. It is these routes that we honour today. A renowned frame builder and owner of Erickson Cycles, he is also a co-founder of Seattle’s R&E Cycles. Nancy has toured extensively and is a former Masters National Champion on the road and track, single bike, and tandem (with Glenn Erickson). She is responsible for setting up the administration side of the tours and it is her template we follow now.
